Indication

Hypertension, Prophylaxis of cardiac events following myocardial infarction or revascularization in stable coronary artery disease & Congestive heart failure.


Dosage and Administration

 Hypertension: Initially Versil 4 mg tablet once daily preferably in the morning for one month, subsequently adjusted according to response; if used in addition to diuretic, in elderly, in renal impairment, in cardiac decomposition, or in volume depletion, initially 2 mg once daily; maximum 8 mg daily.

Following myocardial infarction or revascularization: Versil initially 4 mg once daily in the morning increased after 2 weeks to 8 mg once daily if tolerated. Elderly patients should start treatment with 2 mg once daily for one week, then 4 mg once daily for next week, thereafter increased to 8 mg once daily if tolerated.

Congestive heart failure: Versil should be started under close medical supervision at a starting dose of 2 mg once daily in the morning. Increased after at least two weeks to maximum 4 mg once daily if tolerated.
