Indication

Cattle: For the treatment of mastitis, respiratory tract infection, foot rot & septicemia etc.

Calves: E. Coli caused bacterial infections. Horse: Respiratory tract infection & other bacterial infections.

Pigs: Respiratory tract infection & Metritis-Mastitis-Agalactia (MMA) syndrome.


Dosage and Administration

Route of administration: IM/IV only.

Direction for reconstitution:
Add 5 ml Benzyl Alcohol 1% into 225 mg powder for injection and 10 ml Benzyl Alcohol 1% BP into 450 mg powder for injection. Shake well until the powder is dissolved properly.

Cattle: Mastitis- 1 ml/45 kg body weight (1 mg/kg) IM once daily for 2 days. Respiratory tract infection & foot rot- 1 ml/45 kg body weight (1 mg/ kg) IM once daily for 3-5 days.
Calf: E. coli caused septicemia 1 ml/22 kg body weight (2 mg/kg) IM once daily for 3-5 days. Should not be used more than 10 ml per injection site.
Horse: 1 ml/45 kg body weight (1 mg/kg) IM/IV once daily for 5-10 days.
Foal: 1 ml/45 kg body weight (1 mg/kg) IM/IV twice daily for 6-14 days. It is recommended to start the treatment with IV injection for 3 days & then follow IM injection.
Pigs: Metritis-Mastitis-Agalactia (MMA) syndrome- 1 ml/22 kg body weight (2 mg/kg) IM once daily for 2 days. Respiratory tract infection- 1 ml/22 kg body weight (2 mg/kg) IM once daily for 3-5 days.

Or as directed by the registered veterinarian.


Composition

Cefqueen Vet 225: Each vial contains Cefquinome 225 mg (as sterile Cefquinome Sulfate INN). Each ampoule contains 5 ml Benzyl Alcohol 1% BP for reconstitution.

Cefqueen Vet 450: Each vial contains Cefquinome 450 mg (as sterile Cefquinome Sulfate INN). Each ampoule contains 10 ml Benzyl Alcohol 1% BP for reconstitution.
