Indication
Prophylaxis against arterial occlusive events: Myocardial infarction, Myocardial re-infarction, after By-pass surgery, atherothrombotic cerebral infarction & venous thromboembolism after total hip replacement.
Mild to moderate pain: Headache, Muscle pain, Dysmenorrhoea and Toothache etc.
Chronic disease accompanied by pain and inflammation: Osteoarthritis.
Antipyretic: Cold fever and Influenzae.
Dosage and Administration
Route of Administration: Orally. Ecosprin® tablets should preferably be taken after meals, with plenty of liquid.
Pain, Inflammatory diseases and as Antipyretic:
Adults: Ecosprin® 325 - 650 mg 1-2 tablets orally every 4- 6 hours.
Platelet aggregation inhibitor:
Suspected Acute Myocardial Infarction: An initial dose of at least 162 mg crushed to ensure rapid absorbtion should be administered as soon as a myocardial infarction is suspected. The same dose should be given as maintenance over the next 30 days. After 30 days, 81- 325 mg daily according to the individual needs of the patient, as determined by the physician.
Prevention of a first non-fatal myocardial infarction: 81- 325 mg once daily, according to the individual needs of the patient, as determined by the physician.
Prior Myocardial Infarction or Unstable Angina Pectoris: 81- 325 mg daily according to the individual needs of the patient, as determined by the physician.
Transient Ischemic Attack and Secondary Prevention of Atherothrombotic Cerebral Infarction: 81 - 325mg daily according to the individual needs of the patient, as determined by the physician.
Prophylaxis of Venous Thromboembolism after total hip replacement: 162 - 325mg daily according to the individual needs of the patient, as determined by the physician.
Following Coronary By-pass surgery: Ecosprin® 75-300 mg daily.
OR AS DIRECTED BY THE PHYSICIAN.
Composition
Ecosprin® 75: Each enteric coated tablet contains Aspirin BP 75 mg.
Ecosprin® 81: Each enteric coated tablet contains Aspirin BP 81 mg.
